His Excellency, Zamfara State Executive Governor Hon Dr. Bello Mohammed MON) (Matawallen Maradun) has received an award of Excellence by the Anneozeng Ogozi Aid Foundation (AOAF).
The award was presented to the Governor by the foundation’s Coordinator, Mr Igbavboa Ahonkhai Egbe at the body’s Annual awards ceremony which held at the Top Rank Hotels, Garki,Abuja today.
Mr Igbavboa Ahonkhai said his foundation’s decision to honour Governor Matawalle with the award of excellence for overcoming the Security challenges in Zamfara State within his first hundred days in office is to encourage him and show appreciation to the governor’s giants strides in securing the lives and properties of his people in particular and Nigerians in general.
Mr Igbavboa further said that Matawalle’s efforts in addressing the Security situation in Zamfara state needs to be acknowledged the world over and deserved a commendation from organisations such as AOAF and promised to continue to watch with keen interests the progress made on Security by the present administration under Matawalle.
The Coordinator added that If Security of lives and properties is guaranteed a lot of development will be achieved within no time.
In his acceptance speech Governor Matawalle who was represented by his Director General Press Affairs, Mallam Yusuf Idris thanked the Anneozeng Ogozi Aid Foundation for finding him worthy of the excellence award and promised to do more in that direction.
Governor Matawalle explained that his administration is determined to provide adequate protection of lives and properties of the citizens.
He further said that by restoring peace in the State a lot of economic and other developmental activities have since been reactivated with vigor in the State.
The governor noted that his administration has since embarked on implementing programmes that have direct bearing to the people of the State in order to sustain the peace been enjoyed.
He also promised to create more economic activities within the state with a view of engaging all the repentant bandits into meaningful ventures.
