Aminu Dabo College of Health Sciences and Technology (AD-COHST) has finally obtained approval to operate as Private College of Health Technology in Nigeria.
This followed the approval of the Hon Minister of Education Mallam Adamu Adamu having satisfied that, the College had met all the requirements set by the relevant laws governing the operation of such Institutions in the Country.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Arc Sonny S. T. Echono on behalf of the Minister of Education presented the Certificate to the Founder/CEO of the College Arc Aminu Abubakar Dabo at a grand ceremony held Monday at the Headquarters of the Ministry, Federal Secretariat Complex Abuja.
Addressing the occasion, the Minister Mallam Adamu Adamu represented by the Minister of State Prof Anthony G. Anwukah stated that, shorted of skilled manpower coupled with the challenges of time made it imperative for the Private Sector participation in Tertiary Education management and administration.
The Minister further revealed that, the present administration has approved 56 Private Polytecnics, 152 Innovation Enterprises lnstitutions, 84 Vocational Enterprises among others while government presented Certificates to the newly approved Institutions consisting of 20 Private Polytecnics, 4 Colleges of Health Sciences and Technology including AD-COHST, Kano.
Mallam Adamu Adamu commended the Proprietors of these Institutions for their resolute and focussed on the mandate, vision and mission as well as maintaining the standards for the operation of the programs for which they have been granted approval.
The occasion was attended by the Executive Secretary National Board for Technical education (NBTE) Dr Mus’udu Adamu Kazaure mni, and other distinguished heads of various Public and Private
Universties and Tertiary lnstitutions across the country including special team from AD-COHST led by the Acting Provost of the College Sant Hamza Garba and host of other Management staff.
Responding, the Proprietor of AD-COHST Arc Aminu Dabo expressed appreciation to the Federal Government for approving and issuance of Licence to the College to operate as Private Health Technology lnstitution.
