The Association of Health Practitioners of Nigeria (ACHPN) and the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN) have flagged off “Operation Show Your Valid License and Certificate” (OSYVLAC) in Jigawa State.
Flagging off the exercise, the State Head of the Civil Service, Alhaji Muhammad K. Dagaceri, praised the initiative and pledged full support for its success. He urged community health practitioners in Jigawa State to cooperate with the inspection teams and ensure their licenses are valid.
The National President of the Community Health Practitioners of Nigeria, Comrade Kabiru Yahaya Ahmed, said the exercise is aimed to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and eliminate quackery in community health practice.
He warned that practitioners who fail to present valid documents may face sanctions in accordance with the law and CHPRBN regulations.
Professor Bashir Idris Lifidin Jama’a, the Registrar of CHPRBN, who was represented by Comrade Abbas Jibrin Kazurawa, Director of Planning, Research, and Statistics, announced that the inspection team will operate in Jigawa for six days. He called on all practitioners to possess and present a valid CHPRBN Practicing License, an original or certified copy of their professional certificate, and evidence of registration with CHPRBN.
