Governor Mallam Umar Namadi has signed Jigawa State’s 2025 budget into law. Valued at N698.3 billion, it is the largest budget ever in the history of Jigawa.
The signing ceremony took place earlier today at the Council Chambers of the Government House, Dutse.
Speaking at the event, Governor Namadi explained the purpose behind this record-breaking budget.
“This year’s budget of N698.3 billion naira is the highest in the history of Jigawa State. It is designed to restructure the state into a greater one,” he said.
A significant 76% of the budget has been allocated to capital projects, highlighting the administration’s focus on infrastructure and development. The governor explained that these investments are aimed at building a foundation for lasting economic growth and progress.
He expressed gratitude to the Jigawa State House of Assembly for their swift passage of the budget, applauding them their dedication to the state’s progress. He also urged all stakeholders to ensure full implementation of the budget so that the benefits reach every corner of Jigawa.
Describing the 2025 budget as a vision for the future, Governor Namadi reiterated his administration’s commitment to creating opportunities and improving the lives of the people in the state.
“We are committed to building a better future for Jigawa,” he remarked.
