I’m pleased to inform the general public that the Bayero University central A&PC has on this day 27th December, 2024 approved the promotion of Engr. Dr. Umma Abdullahi to the rank of a Professor of Mechanical Engineering with effect from 1st October, 2023.

Engr. Professor Umma Abdullahi Born in Kano Municipal area of Kano State, she is now the first female Professor of Engineering from Northern part of Nigeria. And 3rd female Professor of Mechanical Engineering in Nigeria.

Prof. Umma is happily married with children
