Tudun Biri village came alive today as Gov. Uba sani joined the Vice President, H.E.
Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, Governor of Jigawa State, H.E. Malam Umar Namadi, Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, DG NEMA Zubaida Umar and other top government officials at the groundbreaking ceremony of Resettlement Scheme for Persons Impacted by Conflicts.
In his keynote address at the occasion, the Vice President said the groundbreaking ceremony is a pivotal moment as they are embarking on a journey of compassion, resilience and hope. By embarking on the Resettlement Scheme, the Federal Government is offering persons impacted by conflicts a dignified environment to rebuild their lives. The Vice President praised the government for adopting and implementing an effective participatory security management system.
Gov. Uba Sani remarks, he appreciated our dear President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR for choosing Tudun Biri for the groundbreaking of the Resettlement Scheme for Persons Impacted by Conflicts. And he also commended our amiable Vice President, Kashim Shettima, GCON for effectively facilitating the strategic meetings that fine-tuned the Implementation Plan for the Resettlement Scheme.
Since the unfortunate Tudun Biri village incident, Gov. Uba Sani said our administration has provided relief support for victims and their families, as well as members of the community. We are constructing a road, clinic and skills acquisition center in the village. They have disbursed over Two Hundred and Seventy-Five Million Naira (N275,000,000) from money donated by individuals, public and private institutions to injured victims and families of victims who lost their lives.
The administration are working closely with Federal Security Forces to degrade and uproot bandits from their enclaves and restore peace and stability to our troubled communities. We look forward to the day when displaced victims of banditry will return to their original communities and start the process of rebuilding their lives.
