Jigawa Govt inaugurated a 31 member committee on Control of Drug Abuse in the State.

Jigawa State Government has inaugurated a 31 member reconstituted committee on Control of Drug Abuse in the State.
Inaugurating the Committee, the Secretary to the State Government Alhaji Adamu Abdulkadir Fanini, said Government is concern with the behavior of some youth in the State of taking intoxicated substances.
He said Government will do everything possible to address the menace of Drug abuse in the State and to save the future generation from the menace.
Alhaji Adamu Abdulkadir Fanini explained that Government has decided to re-appoint Muhammad Alhassan as Chairman and some members of the Committee because of the achievements they recorded in their previous assignment.
He said terms of reference of the Committee is to make sure that the State Government gives all the maximum support and cooperation to the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for the successful discharge of its assignment.
Responding, on behalf of the members, Chairman of the Committee who is also the Commissioner for Agriculture Muhammad Alhassan promised to justify the confidence reposed on them.
