The amendment followed the receipt of a letter from Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar on the need to amend the state audit laws.
In the letter which was read by the Speaker, Alhaji idris Garba during the plenary session, the Governor said the amendment will provide additional power to the office of the state Auditor general and the local government Auditor general in budget, financial management and human resources development.
The chairman House Committee on public account Barrister Bala Hamza Gada said sections 20 and 21 were inserted, while sections 4, 7, 8, 10 and 41 were amended to ensure improved service delivery.
Member representing Kanya constituency Alhaji Usaini Haladu Isah moved a motion on the need to express consent on the content of the bill seeking amendment while member representing Miga constituency, Alhaji Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin seconded the motion.
After unanimous voting, the House approved the amendment and adjourned sitting to Tuesday November 9
