FG Partners Dantata Foods on Flood Control, to Reclaim Degraded Lands in Riverine Communities

The Honourable Minister of Water Resources, Engineer Suleiman Adamu has assured the ministry’s commitment to partner with one of the finest Agribusiness firms in Africa, Dantata Foods and Allied Products Company Limited to reclaim degraded lands destroyed by floods and erosions in the country.
This was contained in a statement issued in Abuja and signed by Mr. Sanusi Bature, the General Manager Corporate Services of the company.
Dantata Foods pioneers the regenerative agriculture concept in Nigeria, through which farmers would be taught how to effectively cultivate organic farm produce without the use of chemicals and inorganic fertilizers in the country. The concept regenerates degraded lands and improves the soil moisture naturally.
While receiving the visiting team, the Minister said, Nigeria has experienced the worst floods in over three decades which destroyed farm produce worth billions of naira. “we will partner with Dantata Foods on regenerative agriculture to control flood through strategic planning and planting of tree crops in the riverine areas and create rain harvest hubs so as not allow overflooding of the farms.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman/CEO of Dantata Foods & Allied Products Limited Alhaji Tajuddeen Aminu Dantata said that through regenerative agriculture, thousands of hectares of degraded lands could also be reclaimed apart from controlling the floods and soil erosions.
