Zamfara Lawmaker Awards Free Scholarship over 100 Orphans.

Member representing Gusau-Tsafe Federal constituency at the National Assembly, Kabiru Amadu Mai-Palace has enrolled 100 orphans in different primary schools, to assist them get access to qualitative education like any other child.

In an interview with his personal secretary, Alhaji Mustapha, said the gesture was aimed at eradicating out of school children and easing the emotional stress, especially to the less privileged ones and orphans.

“Honorable Mai-Palace has been sponsoring students to study in different schools, distributing free uniforms to students and books of different subjects, shoes, school bags among other things, and for this we have spent more than N700, 000.” Mustapha added.

Mustapha said they have started process with 46 children and 54 more would be enrolled soon, and that would make a total of 100 orphans and less privileged children, adding that the gesture would continues.

Speaking to the lawmaker on phone, he reiterated commitment to not only sponsor students into schools, but also renovate and furnish them.

He however called on other lawmakers, members of the public, especially the well to do individuals, to help assist the orphans, disables and vulnerable ones in the state.

Meanwhile, the Zamfara state Secretary to the state government, Alhaji Bala Bello Maru and state deputy speaker, Alhaji Bawa Musa Bawa, have commended the federal lawmaker for taking responsibility of children’s education, securing jobs for youths and empowering women as well as other good gestures to the needy.
