GOV. MATAWALLE TO ATTEND A JOINT SECURITY MEETING IN NIGER REPUBLIC.

His Excellency, Zamfara State Executive Governor, Hon Dr. Bello Mohammed MON (Matawallen Maradun, Barden Hausa) has left the State today, 7th September, 2019 to attend a Security meeting in Maradi, in Niger Republic.

The meeting is organised by the Niger Republic authorities to discuss issues of boarder security and banditry between Niger Republic and the states of Zamfara, Kebbi, Sokoto and Katsina that have boarders with the Niger Republic.

Other issues expected to be discussed include the twenty five thousand IDPs living in Maradi who are Nigerian citizens.

The meeting will also dwell on how to end banditry activities affecting Nigeria and Niger Republic especially through the participating states.

The Governor’s entourage includes the State Commissioner of Police, Commander 1 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Gusau, Commandant Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and Director State Security Service.

The Governor will return to the State on 9th September, 2019.
