His Excellency, Zamfara State Executive Governor Hon Dr. Bello Mohammed MON (Matawallen Maradun) today attended the National Economic Council meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja chaired by the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
The meeting was attended by all the 36 State Governors and the Ministers of Finance, Health and Agriculture and the Central Bank Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefile.
Issues deliberated during the meeting include presentation of reports on the National Livestock Transformation Plan by Governor of Ebonyi State who is the chairman of National Livestock Transformation Committee.
Other presentations are on alternative and innovative long-term financing of critical National infrastructure and the update on polio Eradication in Nigeria.
The remaining are presentations of the Medium Term Expenditure Framework and activation of the policy on free Education for the first nine years of Schooling by Nigerian children.
The meeting also received reports on Excess Crude Accounts (ECA), Update on Budget Support loan Facility and an Update from the NEC ad-hoc committee on Security and Policing.
During the meeting the Governor was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning of Zamfara State, Alh Kabiru Mohammed Gayari.
