So much have been said and written about the current political headline of the Kano politics today, popularly tagged as GANDUJEGATE. I could remember writing one small piece about the seeming confusion that some uninformed elements were trying to bring. Weather it helped or not, time is revealing.
There were noises from multiple angles, there were accusations of different respectable individuals by some few, somehow illiterates fellows who could not really interpret the clear handwriting on the wall. Those elements who thought they are defending their paymasters, not knowing they were just fueling and escalating the issue which was supposed to have been played down, because of it’s damaging implications. They kept on making unnecessary noises which only helped in exposing the type of characters they are and also complicated an already complicated issue the more.
The meaningless noises did not help matters at all, but rather added salt to injury and complicated the issue which to every extent brought us to where we are today.
I am referring to the series of videos that have now became a daily routine. You see when the first video came out, instead of people from the government see the immediate danger and nip the bud in the head by as much as possible playing it down or by at least being silent to it, they rather chose to make it an issue thereby bringing to notice to even those who were not aware of it to be keen about it.
And as if that was not enough, they started dragging people’s name into it and that was the damaging aspect of it all. You see, some may understand if they blame Kwankwasiyya as we all know they are their political rivals/enemies for all this long, but by trying to drag the name of some respectable personalities, who are more important to the Governor than them, then you know that something is wrong somewhere. To be particular about this, is the mentioning of Dr Ab Baffa as the person behind the release of the videos, that was after the blame of the Kwankwasiyya was dropped. From there I know that one of two things happened; either they are confused or some people are up to something and that something may not be in the best interest of the Governor and the government.
In my first write-up on this issue I warned those fellows to rather concentrate on the issue at hand than trading this expensive blame game that could only confuse the electorates, but unfortunately since they were hell-bent on their agenda, they continued without thinking of what the repercussions will be. Their paymasters I believed then, were enjoying what was happening, then came the committee from the Kano state House of Assembly whose assignment is to investigate the authenticity of the said videos. At that time only two videos were released to the public. Now we all saw how the committee invited the Journalist that released the 1st two videos, Jaafar Jaafar and he honored the invitation of the State Assembly and appeared before the committee, and we all saw how he was interrogated by the committee and how he stood his ground on the authenticity of his videos, he also made mention of being in possession of nine videos that contained the said dirty deals and submitted the same to the committee.
In the submission of Jaafar Jaafar, there was no where he made mention of anybody being sponsoring him or backing or pushing him to release the videos. He couldn’t even mention the Contractor that gave him the videos talk less of any other individual. He reiterated that he is doing what he is doing to save his state from what he believes is a wrong way of governance.
Jaafar Jaafar never mention Dr Ab Baffa even by accident, and there was nobody close to Dr Ab Baffa that was in the company of Jaafar Jaafar when he came to Kano, that was the first indication that those ill-informed individuals that were busy dragging names of reputable people into the issue are heading for a serious trouble of substantiating their claims with indisputable evidence in case the issue became a court case. And fortunately for Dr Ab Baffa since that Jaafar’s appearance it somehow appeared that the attention of the noisemakers have shifted to the real trouble that they are now only realising, to which we have been trying to caution them of.
Now the noise is dying because they are just now realising that the issue is not a film episode, it is real. They are now loosing their voices because they now realised that the more they make their baseless noises, the more the videos are released to the public. They are just now realising that the more they make those their garrulous noises, the more the more damages they add to their Principal. They were so daft to have realized that we were just cautioning them for their own sake. You can see now what your actions or inactions have resulted to, THE WHOLE IS NOW RESTED IN THE PUBLIC COURT.
Since the noises cannot be make easily now I decided to write this piece because I believe now the voices of reasons can be heard, and so also to further exonerate Dr Ab Baffa from all those baseless accusations for the people that thought they have the monopoly of noise making. Even though many individuals have written similar articles, but notwithstanding it is always better to talk when THE NOISE IS DOWN OR WHEN THE NOISEMAKERS COULD NOT FIND THEIR VOICES.
Just for the record, Dr Abdullahi Baffa Bichi is the DG of the Buhari Support Group called #One2Tell10, and this Support Group was at the forefront of buying the nomination form for His Excellency Dr Abdullah Umar Ganduje for his 2nd term aspiration of being our Governor.
May be those making these wild noises will be better informed if they can ask His Excellency about his relationship with Dr Ab Baffa, may be then they will understand what Dr Ab Baffa represent and who he really is. The noisemakers must know that Ab Baffa is just beyond their reach, they can concoct all the lies they can that will not deter our resolve to always say it as it is.
Dr Ab Baffa has nothing to gain if Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is removed from Governor, he is currently the Executive Secretary of #tetfund, if you don’t know what that means then I advise you to find out, so that you can know who you dealing with, your paymasters are aware of all these but they can’t tell you and you are too daft to understand.
As it is now, Gov Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and Dr Ab Baffa are in good harmonious relationship based on mutual respect and regards. Gov Ganduje is the Good Kano state and Dr Ab Baffa is from Kano state and they are from the same party and they will work for the same party to victory in 2019 inshaa Allah.
Dr Ab Baffa’s only concern is the success of President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 elections and all other APC candidates at all levels.
May the detractors be shamed.
