In an exclusive chat between our Editor Abubakar Sadeeq and Pharmacist Hashim Ubale Yusufu during his contact tour to Electorates in the State in preparations of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Primaries coming-up on the 29th of September 2018. He highlighted the main reason behind his contest for Governorship seat come 2019 elections, he mentioned that Jigawa State is recessive due to bad leadership over time, “there is poor agricultural activities; no industrial activities; people rely heavily on government for their income;” He added that as somebody who was born and brought up in Jigawa, he experienced a lot of hardship, which he has been dreaming for an opportunity to make difference and make people’s life better.
Hashim reiterates that Governor Badaru has done nothing for Jigawa for 3 and half years he is on the throne, he never supported most of the social investment programmes and agricultural support programmes organized by the Federal Government; indeed people are in abject poverty. He continued that last two seasons farmers in the states experienced a lot of hardship due to low rainfall and improper planning, they lost huge amount of money and they never had any support from Government.
The Governorship candidate urged that politically, Badaru derails from the original plan agreed by the party stakeholders in the state with regards to development of the polity. He further conclude that if given the opportunity to be the Party’s flag bearer for the Governorship Election in 2019, he would carry everybody along to save the people of Jigawa State from poverty and also employ his best experiences to develop the State economically.
