The Executive Governor Kano State Dr. Abdulllahi Umar Ganduje, while making his address at the swearing in ceremony of the Newly elected council chairmen which took place today Sunday 11th February 2018 at the Sani Abacha indoor Stadium, Kano, stated that he was indeed glad with the results of the election as a result of APC’s overwhelmed victory.
He added that “the overall number of votes scored by the APC candidates is more that what President Buhari scored in the 2015 election. Mr. President since you have agreed to conteste the 2019 general elections, i assured you we will give you 5 million votes”.
Reports indicated that the coucil election that took place yesterday, Saturday 10thFebruary 2019 was the worst election ever recorded in the history of the State, due to lack of proper preparations and a very low turnout.
