The Federal University Dutse has approved the hiring of 55 hunters to assist the Security Division in patrolling the campus at night.
The Vice- Chancellor of the University Professor Abdulkarim Sabo Mohammed disclosed this to newsmen in Dutse
He said the Chief Security Officer of the Institution brought the idea as a result of security challenges facing the country
Professor Abdulkarim Sabo said the hunters in conjunction with FUD security personnel and the Nigerian Police now conduct daily joint patrol in the campus at night
According to him the university needed the services of the hunters because of their knowledge of the community.
Professor Sabo Abdulkarim called on staff and students to cooperate with the Security Division to ensure the security of lives and properties in the university.
