Hadejia local government education authority has directed Head-teachers to collaborate with School Base Management Committees to form new intake enrolment committees for the 2021/2022 academic session in their schools.
Education Secretary of the local government, Alhaji Musa Garba gave the directive at a meeting with stakeholders in Hadejia.
He said establishment of the committees will ensure compliance with regulations regarding pupil’s enrolment into primary schools
He called on them to make adequate arrangement for the successful take off of new academic session scheduled to commence on the 15th of this month.
Alhaji Musa Garba said teaching materials were distributed to the 58 primary and junior secondary schools in the area for the smooth take-off of the session.
On his part the chairman Nigeria Union of Teachers of the local government, Abubakar Dodo represented by his deputy, Auwal Baba commended the state and local governments for their effort to reposition the education sector.
