FUD Matriculated 4290 Students for 2021/2022 Session

Federal University Dutse has yesterday matriculated four thousand, two hundred and ninety students that will study in the Arts and Science faculties of the institution for the 2021/2022 academic session.
Speaking during the matriculation ceremony, the Vice Chancellor of the university Professor Abdulkareem Sabo Muhammad congratulated the matriculating students in view of the intense compotation they went through before securing their admissions.
He said some of the achievements recorded since he assumed duty in February 2021 include the installation of 45 megabyte internet facility in the campus to make the university more visible to the global community as well as provide enabling environment for learning and research.
Professor Sabo Muhammad who described accommodation for female students as one of the challenges facing the university assured that measures have been put in place to address the problem and currently 100 bed hostel is being constructed which will soon be completed.
The Vice Chancellor explained that under his leadership, the institution has acquired 3, 500 books, 400,000 e-resources and over 800 journals on various field of studies, adding that modalities were being worked out for the establishment of faculties of Law and that of Pharmaceutical sciences.
He then warned the matriculated students against misbehavior during their stay in the university.
Professor Abdulkareem Sabo Muhammad explained that efforts haven directed towards revive the entrepreneurship programme in the university to enable students acquire the skills and training that will make them self-reliant after completing their studies.
