Jjgawa State ministry of Health in collaboration with National Malaria elimination programme has organized a one day media orientation program for mass campaign, a head of the upcoming net distribution slated to commence on 18 to 29 November 2021.
In his welcome address, the director public health of the ministry Dr Abdullahi Umar Namadi said, the exercise is repeat after every 3 years and there is need to engage media as key stake holders in the exercise.
He said media will be oriented on how the activity is going to be implemented in the state.
Also speaking, state manager malaria control, Mallam Bilya Haruna said some objectives of the programme, is to orient journalists on malaria prevention and control and develop the interest on coverage and reporting.
On her part the representative of National malaria elimination programme, Mrs Ogar Nkayor said technical devices will be deploy in the exercise which targeted three point five million people in the state through a door to door approach.
