300 Youth Participated in 1st Kano Fitness Walk – Balancy

A popular photographer in Kano, Mr Balarabe Abdullahi popularly known as Balancy on Sunday organised the first Kano fitness walk where hundreds of youths went on a two kilometre hike along Kano-Zaria road.

NAN reports that the fitness walk which  was hash tagged “Say No To Drugs and Social Vices”, was organised by the photographer as part of activities to commemorate the World Traffic Day.

Addressing the the participants, the organiser of the event, adviced the youth to always obey traffic rules, shun drugs abuse and embrace fitness as a way to stay healthy and alive.

He also charged the youth across the country to shun all social vices and engage in any useful venture that would enable them be self reliant and contribute their  quota towards the development of Kano state and the country at large.

Some of participants commanded ‘Balancy’ for Initiating the two kilometre hike and urged him to make it an annual event to attract youths from the neighbouring states and beyond.

One the youths, Miss Salamatu Sani who participated in the walk expressed joy and  the hope that the fitness walk could be organized again as she had a nice exercise.

“I have really enjoyed the exercise but I hope it will be sustained so that the event can attract more youths from other states,” she said.

Another participant, Yusuf Umar also expressed happiness as the event had given him the opportunity to exercise his body and urged the organisers to extend it to elderly people in the state.
Umar urged the youth to continue to engage in physical training exercisie on regular basis not just during events like this hemselves on regular bases not just during events like this.
