Zamfara Govt. to Commence Cash Transfer to 15,000 Girl-Child Pupils

Arrangement has been concluded to commences conditional cash transfer to 15,000 out of school girls child in Zamfara who are to be enrole in to the conventional basic schools system.

This was made know by the Executive Chairman of ZSUBEB Alh Aliyu Abubakar Maradun at a stakeholders interactive session held in Gusau the Zamfara State Capital.

The Chairman noted that, the initiative is parts of the drive toward commencement of the implementation of the new faith project of Governor Matawallen Maradun tagged “Better Education Service Delievry for All” (BESDA).

He said with the cash transfer parents would be relieved of the unnecessary hardship posed by constant demands of the logistics as well as boost the morale of the pupils who are new in to the system.

He said, as part of the new arrangement to accommodate these new pupils to be enrole 720 nomadic schools and 8468 almajiri schools would benefit from the new enrolment drive and all facilities required to make the project a success would be upgraded.

He noted that, Governor Matawalle is passionate to reviving the image of Zamfara among comity of other states in the country by restructuring and reviving the educational status of the State through concrete foundation in the basic education sub-sector.

Danmadami noted further that, all the new enrolees would be supported with school uniform, free feeding as well as construction of additional class rooms. This is beside the proposed conditional cash transfer to be made soonest.

While arguing that the programme would be implemented in phases, the Chairman explained that, Bakura, Bukkuyum, Bungudu, Kaura Namoda and Maradun Local Governments will be in the first phase.

He called on all education stakeholders to be vigilant while the implementation of the faith project started and urged them to call the attention of the government where it is not doing the right thing.
