ZAMFARA: GOV, MATAWALLE AGAIN APPROVES THE REINSTATEMENT OF 556 TEACHERS.

His Excellency, Zamfara State Executive Governor Hon Dr. Bello Mohammed MON (Matawallen Maradun, Barden Hausa) has approved the reinstatement of 556 teachers who were recruited by the Immediate past administration but refused to be enlisted and paid their salaries or other entitlements.

The Governor’s approval followed a directive to the state Head of Service for their Immediate reinstatement and payment of their salaries effective from this month of September.

Matawalle also commended their patience and urged them to be of good conduct in the state civil Service.

The reinstatement is part of governor Matawalle administration’s policy of listening to and addressing reasonable and genuine complaints that affect the wellbeing of the state citizens.

The 556 teachers complained to the governor on Monday when he featured on a Zamfara Radio Programme of “Zuwa da kai” where he immediately directed the state head of Service, Alhaji Kabiru Balarabe to verify the genuineness of their complaints and report back to him.

After the Head of Service finding which showed that the complain was genuine, the governor approved their reinstatement with Immediate effect.

It could be recalled that only last month the Governor approved the reinstatement of 1040 out of the 1400 recruited workers by the Yari’s administration but were also denied their entitlements which resulted into litigation at the Kano Industrial Court which also ruled in favour of the complainants.
