I tried as much as possible to remain silent about the pictures and video trending in social media of the purported visit of Dr Ab Baffa to Abba Kabir Yusuf, the PDP Gubernatorial candidate for Kano state. The said video was shared by Salihu Tanko Yakasai on his Twitter and Facebook walls, telling the world that Dr Baffa has done wrong and even calling for the President’s attention to note that in case of giving appointments the President should know who to give.
As I said, I tried to ignore the vituperations of especially, those in the Kano State government circle, I realized that doing that might put thousands of the Dr Baffa’s lovers and supporters in a kind of tensed situation and put them in uncomfortable situation even, I therefore thought to put in one or two words so as to put the record straight.
Let me remind people that Dr Ab Baffa was the immediate former Executive Secretary of tetfund, he is a Buharist to the core, no doubt about that, needless to say also he has been working for Buhari’s election since 2003 upto the last presidential election. He so much believe in the core values of President Muhammadu Buhari and he always shows and say that at any given moment. It is because of that believe that as an ES of tetfund, he risked his seat to formed one of the most popular Buhari Support Group – #One2Tell10, in the the country that is rooted in all the nineteen northern States and Abuja and worked tirelessly till PMB is reelected for the second term of a four year tenure, this the world is witness to this. Dr Ab Baffa is from Kano, and I am sure that in his little stay as the ES of tetfund, he has done so much for Kano, it’s people, Northwest and Nigeria as a whole. He is the type that any state should be proud of having, but when he was appointed, his Governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje was not happy because he wanted somebody else for that seat, and the Governor did not hide this, because as important as that seat to even the northwest, the Governor could not find worthy to organize even a small reception for Dr Baffa in order to atleast identify with him as a Kano indigene, remember such things is done to are done to all the Federal appointees to such extent even SA to the Vice President were celebrated by the Kano State government. Dr Baffa only noted but never mind because he concentrated on his National assignment, but the Governor and his people continued their show of disdain to Baffa, I will not go into details, but all these were ignored.
At a point the relationship between Dr Baffa and the Governor became so strained that some people well meaning Kano people came in and things were sorted out, the Governor and the ES tetfund then were sat on the time and Kano was discussed. At that time it was closed to APC’s primary elections. The Governor and the then ES tetfund became so closed that it started hurting some people closed to the Governor. I could remember it was at that time that the #One2Tell10 Kano Branch purchased the nomination form for Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s 2nd term bid, I was part of the process from the beginning to the end, and I was also part of the people that submitted the form to the Governor in an opened ceremony at the coronation hall.
What followed after that was something else, many people within government circle were visibly upset and not happy with both the #One2Tell10 and it’s DG Dr Baffa, so the ball of political intrigues and conspiracy was set rolling. First of all there never a time that the people of the government find it worthy of writing even 2 or 3 lines of a letter of appreciation to the #One2Tell10 or it’s DG. Many of them started and working to find an opportunity to make sure that the relationship between Dr Baffa and Governor Ganduje do not live long, because it will be to their detriment and disadvantage.

Not so long they found the opportunity when the now famous GANDUJEGATE came out. They started spreading rumors that Dr Ab Baffa was behind it because the party will replace him with Dr Ganduje, the rumors spread like a wild fire and it got so bad that, what those people were busy looking for came to them cheaply and they really worked on it till when the Governor believed that it was true. Like the above, I will not go into details on this as it is public knowledge, and it is also in the Court. What happened, happened and the relationship between Dr Baffa and Governor Ganduje became so strained that they could not see face to face, and the #One2Tell10 Kano Branch was muscled and strangulated to such extent it became a crime for it to campaign for even the President that it was meant for. The APC party leadership refused to work with #One2Tell10 as a Buhari Support Group. We found very difficult to operate in Kano despite the fact the DG is from Kano. The group operated freely in all the other 18 northern and Abuja except for Kano. It was really painful and trying for the movement, but NOBODY MAKING NOISE NOW SAID THEN THAT IT WAS NOT RIGHT, SOME WERE EVEN HAPPY.
In spite of all these, the #One2Tell10 continued it’s campaigns in all other states, but in Kano it did that with all sense of carefulness so as not be in collision with either government or the party.
There comes the shocker:
When in February this year Dr Ab Baffa was relieved of his appointment as the ES tetfund to the SHOCK OF EVERYONE THE GOVERNOR AND THE GOVERNMENT OF KANO STATE WERE JUBILATING. IN FACT THE GOVERNOR OPENLY JUBILATE AND REFERRED TO DR BAFFA AS A UNIVERSITY POLITICIAN WHO DOESN’T UNDERSTAND WHAT REAL POLITICS IS, AND AND HE DIDN’T STOP THERE, HE WENT FURTHER TO SAY CASTIGATE AND INSINUATED THAT VERY SOON THE EFCC WILL VISIT DR BAFFA. This is a documented fact, it is in record and the whole world listened.
THE SHOCKER HERE IS THIS IS A GOVERNOR OF A STATE THAT AN IMPORTANT SEAT IS TAKEN AWAY FROM, AND FROM HIS PARTY MAN, AND SEAT WAS GIVEN TO A CARD CARRYING OPPOSITION PARTY MAN FROM OTHER GEOPOLITICAL ZONE (NORTHEAST), BUT INSTEAD OF SHOWING HIS DISAPPROVAL EVEN IF THEY ARE NOT IN GOOD TERMS WITH THE OCCUPANT OF THE SEAT, BUT FOR THE FACT THAT HE IS FROM HIS STATE, AND AS THE GOVERNOR HE IS SUPPOSED TO PROTECT AMD TO PRESERVE THE INTEREST OF THE STATE AND HIS SUBJECTS.Dr Ab Baffa is also human.

We all know these, we all saw it and we all heard it but yet we all kept quiet, but now because you want impress the Governor or the party, you are all making unnecessary noises. Conspiracy at work!
Where were you when the Governor said he doesn’t need Dr Ab Baffa and his Support Group?
Where were you when the Governor said EFCC will invite Dr Baffa?
What did you said when the Governor was working so hard to make sure that Dr Ab Baffa is removed from his seat?
How many people did you think lost out when Dr Baffa was removed from tetfund?
Do you think they will just sit and look, even if Dr Baffa didn’t utter a word?
Now you are saying Dr Baffa is doing anti-party, then what did the Governor did when he worked for the removal of Dr Baffa from the seat of ES tetfund? Is that one not more than anti-party? Where as a Governor of a State, worked to remove your own party member, from the same State you are governing, from the same tribe and religion, for an opposition member to take over, who is not from your state, not your tribe, not from your religion and who you are sure will work against your party’s interest and success – as he did now, and nobody is seeing this as anti-party, because it involves the Governor. It is really sad, you know.

When PMB came to Kano for campaign:
He said Kanawa ga Gandujenku nan, he did not say APC SAK.
In radio jingles: the President reiterated that everybody should elect the best candidate among the lots, he said further that even if that candidate is not from APC.
These and many more are all documented facts.
So now tell me who did what.
Dr Ab Baffa is only being human, he is hated by the Governor and his cronies, he is told his help and that of his Support Group is not needed by the government, and the PRESIDENT SAID VOTE FOR THE BEST CANDIDATE AMONG THE LOTS, so what is the noise all about? Or do you expect him to just fold his arm and see his Support Group crumbling on his face?
If you really know who Dr Baffa is, you will know that struggle is just his second name. He is the of person that doesn’t give things to chance.
BECAUSE OF SELF-INTEREST, YOU MAY HATE HIS ACTIONS AND EVEN HIS PERSON NOW, BUT WHEN HE THINK DEEPER, YOU MAY FIND THAT HE IS ONLY BEING HUMAN. PERIOD!
