The Jigawa State Government has entered into Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the AGROEQUIP MANUFACTURING AND PROCUREMENT LIMITED, to bolster State’s Agricultural input supply system.
During the MOU signing ceremony held at the office of the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Malam Bala Ibrahim, the SSG said the signing of this MoU will enable Jigawa State government to leverage AGROEQUIP’s expertise, enhancing our efforts to build a more resilient agricultural sector,” SSG noted
Attended by the Honourable Commissoner, Ministry of Agriculture, Muttaqa Namadi, Technical Adviser to the Governor on Agriculture, Dr. Saifullahi Umar, Special Adviser to the Governor on Crops Production, Gambo Ibrahim and Special Adviser to the Governor on Cluster Farming, Alhaji Muhammmad Idris Danzomo, Malam Bala Ibrahim highlighted the importance of the MOU which he said is in conformity with Governor Namadi administration’s efforts, to eradicate poverty, create jobs, and stimulate economic growth.
He emphasised that ” With this MOU, we are now committed to joining hands with the AGROEQUIP MANUFACTURING AND PROCUREMENT LIMITED, to enhance Agricultural productivity in Jigawa State through supply of high quality agricultural inputs.
The Chief Executive Officer, of AGROEQUIP MANUFACTURING AND PROCUREMENT LIMITED, Wale Akinmusire, described the MoU as a historic achievement for the both Jigawa State Government and AGROEQUIP MANUFACTURING AND PROCUREMENT LIMITED.
The CEO explained that the MOU will involve purchase of wheat inputs for the 2024 wheat cropping season to support agricultural development in Jigawa State.
Mr Akinmusire assured that AGROEQUIP will supply agricultural inputs of good quality, free from defects and conform to all applicable standards and specifications.
