Jigawa state ministry of Health has today opened bid for the supply and installation of branded medical equipment for Gantsa, Garki and Guri General Hospitals.
Declaring the bid opened, the permanent secretary ministry of Health Dr Salisu Mu’azu informed the bidders that, the lowest quotation does not mean automatic qualification for winning the contract.
He said what is paramount is the technical competency, capability and the experience of the firm.
Dr Salisu Mua’zu added that after the bidding process there is a evaluation by the team of technical experts to access the technical capacity, abilities and lay down criteria as contained in due process law, for procurement in the state.
In his remarks on behalf of the contractors, the representative of Maiwuya construction company, Malam Abdullahi Nafiu appreciated the state government and the ministry of health for given them the opportunity.
Three companies showed their interest for the award of the contract which include Maiwuya construction company, Dagara Integrated Service Limited and the Babban Doki General Enterprises.
